He was 68. The funeral was held Sunday, September 1 at 2:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home with Elvis Williams, minister of Flatrock Church of Christ, officiating. Burial was in the Downey Cemetery. Mr. Skelton was the son of the late Albert and Susie B Harris Skelton, Sr. He was born May 18, 1934 in Waynesboro. He was formerly employed with the Chrysler Corporation. Survivors include his wife, Dessie Nell Staggs Skelton of Centerville; a son Ron (Jeanne) Skelton of Centerville; a daughter, Bonnie Clark of Oxford, Michigan; two step-daughters, Edna Skelton and Anita Hinson of Hohenwald; two step-sons, Rodney and Michael Walker of Hohenwald; two sisters, Mamie Frazier of Hohenwald, and Mattie Gibbs of Hendersonville; and four step-grandchildren.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Albert Skelton, Jr., 514 Camp and Henley Road, Centerville, died Friday, August 30, 2002 at his home.
