She was born in Lewis county to the late John Alf and Eula Virginia (Hinson) Carroll on June 29,1943. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by sisters Judie (Jerry) Worrell, and Norma (Gene) Mercer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">In her spare time, she enjoyed the great outdoors.\u00a0 She would go fishing or ginseng digging or just sit and watch the deer and turkey cross her back yard.\u00a0 She enjoyed climbing on a four-wheeler and riding around taking in all that nature had to offer. She had a true passion for gardening. She once had a rose garden with 100 different varieties and loved the beauty they each possessed.\u00a0 One could tell her love for flowers by the beautiful landscaping around her home.\u00a0 Mrs. Whitehead loved each moment she was able to be with her family. She never took one moment of family time for granted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Mrs. Whitehead is survived by:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Her husband, Mr. David Whitehead<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Daughter, Rhonda (Harder) Tucker<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Sisters, Carolyn (Dexter) Hargrave and Johnnie (Larry) Brown<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Nephews, Ronnie (Theresa) Mercer, Darryl Mercer, Michael Mercer, Gary (Judy) Worrell, Ricky (Tammy) Brown, and James Trent (Tracy) Gross.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Stepchildren, Janice (Whitehead) Bell and James (Kimberly) Whitehead<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Step grandchildren, Christopher (Virginia) Treadwell, Makenzie Bell, Garrett Whitehead, Bradlee Whitehead, and Mason Whitehead<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">One step-great-granddaughter, one step-great-grandson, three great-nieces, four great-nephews, two great-great-nieces, and two great-great-nephews.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">A graveside service will be held Friday, June 5, 2020 at 4:00 pm at Memorial Gardens in Hohenwald, TN.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On the evening of June 4 ,2020 Mrs. Glenda Sue (Carroll) Whitehead peacefully passed away surrounded by family in her Hohenwald home.
