Shaheed Terry<\/strong><\/em>, 72 of Linden peacefully passed away at his home on March 13, 2020.\u00a0 Mr. Terry was born in Champaign, Il to Ms. Lillie (Lewis) Terry and the late John Terry on October 24,1947.\u00a0 He served in the US Army in the 1960\u2019s completing a tour of Vietnam. After returning home, Shaheed became an ordained pastor in his hometown.<\/span><\/p>\n

In his spare time, he enjoyed going fishing, trying to reel in the biggest catfish or working in his vegetable and flower gardens.\u00a0 Mr. Terry was an avid sports fan and always supported our Tennessee Titans.\u00a0 In quiet moments he loved to sit down and watch forensic shows on the ID Channel with his wife. He had a passion for life and never met a stranger. He enjoyed sitting down with everyone and telling stories of the past and watching the laughter that came from his storing telling.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Along with his mother he is survived by his wife Michelle Roberts Terry; a son Joshua Nickerson; a daughter; a sister Bonnie Terry; and a\u00a0 brother Charles Terry as well as\u00a0 several nieces and nephews.<\/span><\/p>\n

There will be no services planned, for Mr. Terry\u2019s wishes were to be cremated.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
