On February 4, 2020 Mr. Ishmael Lee Bunch<\/strong><\/em> peacefully passed at his residence surrounded by family at the age of 87.\u00a0 He was born to the late William and Nola (Cameron) Bunch on October 27,1932 in Lewis County.\u00a0 Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by his siblings Reuel Bunch, Eugene Bunch, Dwight Bunch, Dora Mae Greenlee and Ruby Sue Bunch.\u00a0 Mr. Bunch was a member of Lomax Church of Christ in Hohenwald, TN<\/span><\/p>\n

On June 30,1956 he married Miss JoAnn Chandler and raised two wonderful daughters over\u00a0 the 63 years they have been married.\u00a0 Mr. Bunch enlisted in the United States Navy in\u00a0 May of 1951 and served four years\u00a0 until being honorably discharged in May of 1955.\u00a0 Upon his return he co owned Hohenwald Tire Company, owned and operated Bunch Tire and Bunch Truck Lines for over 18 years. \u00a0 He enjoyed being outdoors and would often go pheasant hunting in South Dakota.\u00a0 He was also very active in the community, serving as a County Commissioner, Circuit Court Clerk, being a Shriners member and participating in the Masonic lodge. \u00a0 He is said to have been one of the most generous men you\u2019ll ever meet, and everyone knew of him.\u00a0 He never met a stranger in his time here.\u00a0 Above all of this, there was no better place in the world than Hohenwald, TN.\u00a0 is what he would often say, referring\u00a0 to it as \u201cGod\u2019s Country\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Along with his wife, he leaves behind daughters LeeAnn (Tom) Alford and Michelle (Rick) Whitwell; grandchildren Lindsey (Chris) Himes, Kristen (Trai) Meadows, and Lacey (Darrin) Cameron; great grandchildren Dylan, Andalyn and Casen Himes, Harlynn Cameron, and Chandler and Ford Meadows; and siblings Johnnie Faye Skelton and Billy\u00a0 Bunch.<\/span><\/p>\n

Visitation with family and\u00a0 friends will be held Thursday February 6, 2020 at the Adair funeral home chapel from 5:00-9:00 P.M. Services will be held Friday February 7, 2020 at 1:00 P.M.\u00a0 with visitation beginning at 11:00 A.M at Lomax Church of Christ in Hohenwald with brother Donnie DeBord officiating.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
