{"id":5143,"date":"2020-09-05T08:39:03","date_gmt":"2020-09-05T12:39:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/lewis\/?p=5143"},"modified":"2020-09-05T08:39:03","modified_gmt":"2020-09-05T12:39:03","slug":"turner-william-a","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/lewis\/turner-william-a\/","title":{"rendered":"Turner, William A"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><em><strong>William Anthony Turner<\/strong><\/em> 65 lost his battle with cancer while at home on August 11, 2020 surrounded by family.\u00a0 Mr. Turner was born at the Boyce Clinic in Hohenwald on May 8,1955 to the late Joe L. and Zina Mae (Sanders) Turner.\u00a0 Along with his parents he was preceded in death by sisters Betty Peterson and Rachel West, and brothers Dexter Turner and Joe Turner Jr.\u00a0 He was a devoted son, father, grandfather, father in law, brother, and uncle.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Mr. Turner is survived by a daughter Carrie (Jason) Bennett of Hohenwald; a son Tony (April) Turner of Sharon, TN; granddaughters\u00a0 Cailey, Brooklynn, and Raegan McCann of Hohenwald; grandsons Riley McCann and Blaine Turner of Hohenwald; sisters Sue (Richard) Amacher and Sheila Turner of Hohenwald; brother Richard (Kathy) Melton of Jackson; five step-grandchildren; one step great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He will be laid to rest beside his parents and brother at Graves Cemetery in Linden, TN.
