He was born on May 27, 1963, to Blanville &amp; Era Bates. He was married to Debbie Doyle Bates at the time of his passing. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He worked for the Lewis County Highway Dpt. as a Heavy Equipment Operator. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Survivors include\u00a0his wife, Debbie Doyle Bates of Hohenwald, TN;\u00a0\u00a0mother, Era Bates of Hohenwald, TN;\u00a0\u00a0daughter, Naysha Chapin (Zack) of Spring Hill, TN;\u00a0\u00a0step-son, Benji Rainey of Hohenwald, TN;\u00a0\u00a0brother, Randy Bates (Nora), Brother-Hohenwald, TN;\u00a0 sisters-in-law, Sonja Staggs (Tinker), Tammy Jackson, and Misty Rogers Blade;\u00a0\u00a0brothers-in-law, Greg Doyle (Nancy) and Elbert Ray Mickey;\u00a0\u00a0niece, Tanna Fetcho;\u00a0\u00a0grandchildren, Knox Rainey,\u00a0Aspyn Rainey,\u00a0Annason Chapin.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He was preceded in death by his father, Blanville Bates, son, Brandon Bates, and sister,\u00a0 Brenda Mickey. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation with the family will begin at 4:00 PM on Sunday, 2 June 2019 at McDonald Funeral Home &#8211; Lewis County. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, June 3, 2019, at 2:00 PM, in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Webb officiating.
