He was born in Caro, MI to the late Archie Oliver &amp; Martha (Golomb) Oliver. He was married to Evon (Onweller) Oliver with whom he shares 9 kids. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">A business owner by trade, he moved to Hohenwald in 1995 bringing his business with him, Mobile Home Safety Products.\u00a0 \u00a0After moving to Hohenwald his business changed names to Oliver Technologies. The company continues to operate in Hohenwald, TN. He was a very compassionate person, his family recalled many times where he would pick up strangers and hitchikers and bring them home, helping to get them back on their feet. They recalled a time where a homeless man was trying to get home out west and had no means to do so, Jim brought him home, gave him a job for a few weeks to earn some money and then arranged for him to get home. He lived his life always trying to help somebody else. He was an avid hunter and loved riding motorcycles. But more than anything he loved his family and his friends. He had many special friends, more than the family could count or try to list. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He is survived by his wife, Evon Oliver as well as sons, Scott (Jennifer) Oliver, Chad Oliver, Daniel (Emily) Oliver, John (Faira) Oliver and daughters, Paula (Jason) Mifsud, Wendy (David) Collom, Heather (JR) Clendenen, Sue Ann Oliver, and Amy (Brian) Valente; 27 Grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He is preceded in death by his mother and father and brothers, Bud &amp; Paul Oliver and his identical twin brother John Oliver. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the General Assembly and Church of the First Born. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM and continue to service time on Monday, September 23.\u00a0 \u00a0Services will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 1:30 PM at the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn with Debbie Landers and Dan Walker officiating.\u00a0 Burial will follow in the Oliver Cemetery, Linden, TN. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In lieu of flowers the family asked for donations to be made to St. Jude\u2019s or The Shriners, two organizations that Jim loved.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>James Easton Oliver, age 66 of Hohenwald, TN passed away at Perry Community Hospital Thursday night, September 19th.
