She was 87 years old.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She is the daughter of the late Horace and Mary Smith Copley.\u00a0 She was also preceded by her husband, Ray Potts and her sister, Faye Baker.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Late Steve) Jimerson, Michelle (Ernest) Scroggins, and Charlene (Late Howard) Breece. Son, Mike (Belinda) Potts. Sisters, Virginia Scroggins and Evelyn Witt. Brothers, Sonny Copley, Bobby Copley, and Jimmy Copley. Many Grandchildren and great grandchildren along with many other relatives, friends, and loved ones.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Mrs. Potts worked in several different manufacturing facilities over the years as a supervisor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She was a devoted member of the Little Lot Church of Christ and attended there for most all of her life. She loved God and she loved her church family.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She was well known for her cooking. She loved taking food to people. It was never just a dish, it was always a full spread. When dinners were to be held at Church she would make enough for everyone, afraid that there would not be enough. Everyone always hoped that she would bring her turkey and dressing, white beans, and cornbread.\u00a0 She was family oriented and loved being with them. She will be deeply missed by each one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation will be 3 May 2020 from 12:00 PM &#8211; 2:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home &#8211; Hickman County.\u00a0 Services will be held 3 May 2020 at 2:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home &#8211; Hickman County with Matthew Dotson officiating.\u00a0 Burial will be at Little Lot Cemetery, Duck River, TN.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dorothy Maizelle Copley Potts was born on January 1, 1933 in Hickman County, Tennessee and passed away on May 1, 2020 in Centerville, Tennessee.
