While the family spoke a few things stood out, the first was she was a Christian and she led her life by example. It was told that the preacher once came to her and asked her to pray for him. During her later years she attended a small Assembly of God of about 20 people, close enough she could walk to church. While worshiping here she began to sing, and because of her beautiful voice, the congregation refused to let her leave. She would attend there for 2 years until her health began to decline. The family says she wrote around 14 songs, with one being titled “Daddy I’m Giving You This Song”. They still have all the lyrics to this music today. Numerous searches were conducted by the family, but no recordings exist. Another attribute was her positive attitude, she truly loved everyone and everyone loved her and enjoyed being around her. It can truly be said without a doubt that she had no enemies. Her grandchildren would often say “Granny wouldn’t do that” or “Granny wouldn’t say that”.
