He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Steve Thomas; and his sister, Charlotte Caron.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He is survived by his loving wife, Roberta McPherson Thomas; his daughters, Amanda Thomas and Mindy Buttrey; his son, Joshua Thomas; his sister, Maddona King; and his cherished grandchildren, Alex, Justin, Noah, Daphne, Violet, Zach, and Hannah.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">David was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather with a generous heart and deep compassion for others. He spent many years working in manufacturing as a team leader. During periods of downtime at the plant, he volunteered his time helping members of the disabled community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. David also sponsored a child in Africa, reflecting his caring and giving nature. Even in death, he continued to help others through the gift of organ donation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation with the family will be 25 May 2026 from 1:00 &#8211; 2:00 PM at Fairfield Baptist Church, 1863 Hwy 100 E, Centerville, TN 37033 with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 PM.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>David Lee Thomas, age 67, was born on August 1, 1958, in Ypsilanti to Denver and Penny Perakis Thomas.
