She was born in Hohenwald to the late Austin Baker and Nora Dabbs Baker. She was a Homemaker most of her life and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and working in her flowers. She especially enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"image-container w100 storyimage_centeralign\">\n<div class=\"imageDiv\">\n<p class=\"caption\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband J.P. Shelton, a grandson Douglas Morrison and sisters Bernice, Ruth and Dorothy.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Survivors include her two daughters Sharon (Hayes) Morrison of Murfreesboro, and Tana (Randy Boyd) Gregory of Linden, grandchildren Phillip (Nancy) Morrison and Rachael (Brian) Woodson, great-grandchildren T.J., Alex, and Benji Morrison, Tyler, Owen and Jonas Woodson, her beloved cat Simba and a host of other family members and many friends.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Funeral service was held Friday, May 15, at Young Funeral Home in Linden with interment at Bethel Cemetery.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mildred Earlene Baker Shelton, 88, of Linden, passed away Wednesday May 13, 2026 at Perry County Community Hospital.
