She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred Green; her daughters, Wanda King and Jackie Breece; her sisters, Linda Warf and Helen Pinkerton; and her brother, Lester Hickman Jr.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She leaves behind a family who loved her dearly, including her son, Gary (Shelia) Green of Tennessee; her daughter, Barbara (Curtis) Edwards of Tennessee; and her brother, James (Vivian) Hickman of Pennsylvania. She was a proud grandmother to Danielle (Sean) Mumford, Kasey (Louis Qualls) King, Chris (Tammy) King and Nick (Katie) Edwards, and a loving great-grandmother to Savannah (Neal) Shaffer, Harley Shaw, Addy Neeley, Lottie Edwards, and Grant Edwards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Wilma devoted many years of her life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse at Hickman Community Hospital, where her compassion and kindness touched countless lives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She had a joyful and lively spirit that could light up any room. She loved to sing and dance wherever she was\u2014even riding down the road\u2014and those moments brought smiles to everyone around her. She found peace and happiness in her garden, caring for her flowers, and took great pride in her quilting and sewing. Above all, she cherished time spent in her kitchen, preparing meals that brought her family together and made them feel loved.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her warmth, her laughter, and the love she gave so freely.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"obituary__section\">\n<div class=\"obituary__section__content\">\n<div class=\"location-block\">\n<div class=\"location-block__body location-block__body--flex\">\n<div class=\"location-block__location\">\n<div class=\"location-block__map-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"location-block__map leaflet-container leaflet-touch leaflet-retina leaflet-fade-anim\" tabindex=\"-1\" data-name=\"Cemetery\" data-latitude=\"35.7789565\" data-longitude=\"-87.4669587\">\n<div class=\"leaflet-pane leaflet-map-pane\">\n<div class=\"leaflet-pane leaflet-tile-pane\">\n<div class=\"leaflet-layer \"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation with the family will be 2 April 2026 from 4:00 &#8211; 8:00 PM and 3 April 2026 from 11:00 AM &#8211; 1:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. &#8211; Hickman County.\u00a0 Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 PM with burial to follow at Charles L Nickell Memorial Park Cemetery, Centerville, TN.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wilma Dean Green, age 83, was born on June 2, 1942, and passed away on March 31, 2026.
