{"id":14711,"date":"2026-05-13T14:15:36","date_gmt":"2026-05-13T18:15:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/lewis\/?p=14711"},"modified":"2026-05-13T14:17:02","modified_gmt":"2026-05-13T18:17:02","slug":"hinson-john-wayne","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/lewis\/hinson-john-wayne\/","title":{"rendered":"Hinson, John Wayne"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"obit-and-service__obituary\">\n<div class=\"obit-and-service__obituary__text\">\n<div class=\"obituary edit-container\">\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">John Wayne Hinson was born on July 13, 1964, and unexpectedly passed away on April 14, 2026, at the age of 61.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He is the son of the late John Austin Hinson and Nellie Jean Haynes Hinson. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He is also preceded in death by the love of his life, Cheryl Hinson, and his granddaughter, Olivia Jayne Hinson.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">John is survived by his son, Bradley (Susan) Hinson; daughter, Brandi (Matthew) McCord; sisters, Tammy (David) Duncan and Dorothy (Danny) Duncan; brother, Randell (Pam) Hinson; grandchildren, Amelia (John) McDaniel, Zachary Swafford, Katie Hinson, Mary Beth Hinson, Megan Hinson, James McCord, and Sarah McCord; along with great-grandchildren, Sarah Beth McDaniel and Savannah McDaniel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">John was a hardworking man from a young age, beginning in logging at just 13 years old. Over the years, he dedicated himself to his work at Fabrication Specialties and was most recently in the process of transitioning to FreeFab Pallet Inc. More than anything, John was devoted to his family. He was often found surrounded by those he loved and was always willing to lend a helping hand. If someone needed him, he was there\u2014no matter the time of day or night.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">John passed away in one of his favorite places, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. He cherished time spent in the mountains, especially with Cheryl, where they could often be found sitting together by the fountains at The Island. Since her passing, he had longed for their reunion, and it brings comfort to know that he was reunited with her again in a place they both loved so dearly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation with the family will be 17 April 2026 from 4:00 &#8211; 8:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. &#8211; Hickman County.\u00a0 Funeral Services will be 18 April 2026 at 11:00 AM at McDonald Funeral Home &#8211; Hickman County with burial to follow at Nunnelly Cemetery, Nunnelly, TN.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In lieu of flowers if you wish to make a memorial donation, please consider giving to the Hickman County Relay for Life, In Care of Bobby Lampley, 10970 Rials Branch Road, Bon Aqua, TN 37025 or the American Heart Association.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>John Wayne Hinson was born on July 13, 1964, and unexpectedly passed away on April 14, 2026, at the age of 61.
