Matney, age 21, of Lawrenceburg, left this world to join his heavenly Father on Friday, April 10, 2026. Ashton was an avid hunter and fisherman. His love for his family and the outdoors surpasses all other. He was employed by Corbitt Power &amp; Light and of the Baptist Faith.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"image-container w75 storyimage_centeralign\">\n<div class=\"imageDiv\">\n<p class=\"caption\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He is survived by his mother, Christy Osborn; father, Greg Osborn; fiancee&#8217;, Lilly Dodd and family; three brothers, Austin Newton, Adam Newton (Raegan), and Peyton Urban; niece, Mavvy Newton; nephew, Mac Newton; grandparents, Larry &amp; Judy Matney, Tony &amp; Renee Cottrell, and George &amp; Janice Osborn; great-grandmother, Dorothy Brock; aunt, Ashley Jackson (Jarrod); a whole host of cousins, friends, and lineman brothers. Those serving as pallbearers are Adam Newton, Kaleb Williams, Kade Suratt, DJ Smith, Carter Smith, Macray Chinchar, and Caleb Williams.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, , Lawrenceburg.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Funeral services were conducted at Neal Funeral Home Wednesday, April 15, 2026, with Lewis Thomas and Adam Newton officiating. Interment followed at Bumpas Cemetery in Lawrenceburg.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The family suggests memorials be made to Monroe Carell Jr. Children&#8217;s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
