He was 78 years old, born on January 16, 1948, at the Boyce Clinic in Hohenwald to the late J.P. Dabbs and Melba Sue Skelton Dabbs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">John was a graduate of Lewis County High School class of 1966. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science in Education and also from Vanderbilt University with a Masters of Divinity, and a post graduate studies at the Owens School of Business.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">His greatest joy in life was traveling the world with his wife Leona \u201cLee\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He was of Christian faith. He was predeceased by his parents, infant brother John Albert Dabbs, and his wife Leona Kleban Dabbs. He is survived by his sister Rebecca Sue Dabbs of Hohenwald, TN; and a host of friends and cousins.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">John\u2019s wishes were to have his ashes scattered in The Great Smokey Mountains, a place near and dear to his heart.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>John Rogers Dabbs passed away February 3, 2026, at Magnolia Healthcare in Columbia, TN., from long-term complications from a Traumatic Brain Injury.
