She most recently made her home in Wasilla, Alaska, where she was deeply rooted in her family, friendships, and community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Janet devoted more than thirty years of her life to caring for others as a registered nurse. Her career was not merely a profession, but a true calling\u2014one she fulfilled with skill, empathy, and unwavering commitment to those entrusted to her care.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Above all else, Janet was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was the cherished wife of Ronald for 45 years, a devoted mother to Olivia, Benjamin, and Joseph, and a proud grandmother to Lucas and Corbin, who brought her immeasurable joy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Janet will be remembered for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and the deep love she held for her family. She found happiness in life\u2019s simple pleasures, including crafting, sewing, and tending to her garden and flowers\u2014activities that reflected her patience, creativity, and nurturing nature.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Her kindness touched countless lives, and her presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Janet was preceded in death by her father, Franklin Plunkett.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She is survived by her mother, Amy (Bill) Flowers; her siblings, Timmy Plunkett and April (Josh) Tidwell; her beloved husband, Ronald Houston; her children, Olivia, Benjamin (Shannon), and Joseph; and her cherished grandchildren, Lucas and Corbin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation with the family will be 2 Feb 2026 from 4:00 &#8211; 8:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home &#8211; Hickman County.\u00a0 Funeral Services will be held 3 Feb 2026 at 1:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home &#8211; Hickman County with burial to follow at Wade-Peeler Cemetery, Centerville, TN.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The family kindly asks that those wishing to send expressions of sympathy keep in mind that Janet\u2019s immediate family will be traveling back to Alaska following services. For this reason, flowers or plants may be difficult to transport.
