R. McCord, age 88, of Pinewood, Tennessee, passed away on November 26, 2025. He was born at home in Bon Aqua, Tennessee, on August 9, 1937.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He was the son of the late Arch E. McCord and Edna Cahal Jenkins McCord. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Wilbur \u201cBill\u201d Martha McCord and Curtis (Margaret) McCord; his sisters Florence (Roy) Greene and Adeline (Hulan) Greer; and Mrs. Greer\u2019s second husband, Clark Wood.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Mr. McCord is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Loreda McCord, whom he married on March 18, 1960; daughter Christi Winters; son John (Mindy) McCord; and daughter Tiffany (Chris) McCord Peters. He was a proud grandfather to June Winters, Hannah McCord, Cameron (Nina) Peters, Eli McCord, Kate Peters, and Rebeckah McCord, and a loving great-grandfather to Jacob, Julia, Jada, Joyanna Horner, Areana, and Country Pentecost.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Mr. McCord grew up in Centerville and was a 1956 graduate of Hickman County High School. He went on to earn his degree from Tennessee Tech in 1960. A resident of Pinewood since 1967, he served as a 1st Lieutenant in the National Guard and was a charter member of the Pinewood Fire Department.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">A faithful and longtime member of the Pinewood Church of Christ, he served as both an Elder and a song leader, roles through which he touched many lives. His dedication to his family, community, and church left a lasting legacy of service, kindness, and steadfast faith.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation with the family will be 28 Nov 2025 at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. &#8211; Hickman County.\u00a0 Funeral Services will be 29 Nov 2025 at 2:30 pm at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. &#8211; Hickman County with burial to follow at Jenkins Cemetery, Lyles, TN.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Arch J.
