She was born on January 6, 1957, in El Paso, Illinois, to the late Frank Lee Swope and Janice Marie (Ruch) Swope.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"image-container w100 storyimage_centeralign\">\n<div class=\"imageDiv\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">On November 28, 1992, she married James Michael Hall, and together they built a life full of love, laughter, and family. Debbie also worked as an underwriter at Farm Bureau before retiring; however, it was her roles as a wife, mom, grandma, and friend that truly defined her.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She had a special love for unicorns, baking, the Fast &amp; Furious and Madea movies. She had a soft spot for anyone who needed a second mom &#8211; her kids&#8217; friends were just as welcome at her home as anyone else.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Debbie had a one-of-a-kind personality &#8211; funny, quirky, a little stubborn, and completely full of heart. She would give you the shirt off her back without hesitation. She loved hard and showed up for her people, no matter what. Debbie&#8217;s greatest joy came from her family and her grandkids, who lit up her world. She had a way of making everyone feel like they mattered. She never needed much, and yet she gave so much.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James; sister, Susie Swope; and great-granddaughter, Sofia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Janice (Josh) Schroader Kunkel, Melissa (Josh) Schroader DeBord, Jennifer Schroader Adams, Scott (Kristin) Michael Hall; siblings, Jim Swope, Pam Rosenberg, Sandy Swope, Lucy Duvall, Maria Swope, Kathy Service, Linda Miller-Slagel, Vickie Miller, Bobby Miller and Larry Miller; grandchildren, Kelsi Oesch, Cocetta DeBord, Sidney (Sylena) Adams, Kelton (Kaitlyn) Adams, Caden Adams, Danika Hall; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Hailey, Paisley, Kooper, Kannon, Kamden.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation with Debbie&#8217;s family will take place on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Downey Cemetery beside her husband.
