He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He passed away suddenly on August 8, 2025, after being hit by a pickup truck who left the road and hit him while he was on his morning run. He is deeply missed by his Wife, children, family, friends, employees , and community.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"image-container w100 storyimage_centeralign\">\n<div class=\"imageDiv\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Eric was a man of strong faith, passion, and love for the outdoors. He cherished his morning runs, capturing the beauty of a sunrise, and spending quiet time with God in the stillness of the day. He was the founder of Old South Wood Preserving, established in 2021, and worked tirelessly to build a successful business.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Eric is survived by his beloved wife, Frieda (Smoker) Stoll, whom he married on May 14, 2011; his precious children, Howard Anthony, Heather Abigail, Heidi Anne, Gilbert John, and Gabriel Eliot Stoll; his parents, John Stoll and Ruth Stoll; siblings, Martha and Tim Miller, Mary Kisling, Matthew &amp; Marlene Stoll, Lewis &amp; Norma Stoll, Jessica &amp; Brock Witmer, Derek &amp; Clara Stoll, Kendon &amp; Victoria Stoll, Jennafer &amp; Ervin Lambright, Alan Stoll, Benjamin Stoll, Joshua Stoll, Joanna Stoll, Jeffrey Stoll, and Jadon Stoll; father-in-law, Eli Smoker; brother-in-law, Marvin Smoker; and sisters-in-laws, Anita and Viola Smoker and many nieces and nephews.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Eric was preceded in death by his precious infant son, Gregory Nathan Stoll (July 31, 2025); infant sister, Melinda Stoll; mother-in-law, Carol Smoker and brother in law Marlin Smoker.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Eric&#8217;s love for the outdoors was evident in his enjoyment for hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family at their small cabin by the creek. He had a heart for helping others, and was dedicated to guiding people to find their true purpose in life. Eric would say, &#8220;Keep the faith.&#8221; His legacy of love, faith, and adventure will live on through his family and those whose lives he touched.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Funeral services were held at Mars Hill Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg on Friday, August 15.
