Born on November 1, 2007, in Columbia, to proud parents Brad (Brandy) Bates and Kassie (Scotty Maness) Sadler Clanton, Everett&#8217;s vibrant spirit and boundless enthusiasm left a mark on all who knew him.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"image-container w75 storyimage_centeralign\">\n<div class=\"imageDiv\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">A cherished son, brother, grandson, nephew, boyfriend, and friend, Everett&#8217;s family was the cornerstone of his life. He is survived by his father, Brad (Brandy) Bates; his mother, Kassie (Scotty Maness) Sadler Clanton; his loving girlfriend, Isabella Hensley; his siblings, Cash Clanton, Destiny Patterson, Daniel Maness, Hadley Maness, and Hazyn Maness; and his grandparents, Bill (Candi) Bates, Becky Bates, Wanda Tucker, and Glenn Wayne. Everett was a beacon of joy to his great-grandparents, Maw (Gretchen), Sadler, Paul and Patricia Gandy, and Gilbert Ray. His family circle included his niece Zariah; his aunts and uncles, Brooke (Rob) Inman, Justin (Stephanie) Harper, Ben (Whitley) Floyd, Sophie (Zach) Coleman, Maggie (Randall) Scott, Noah Curtis, William Sadler, Gus Sadler, and Jay Bates. A whole host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He held precious memories of those who preceded him, including his grandparents, Phillip and Diane Williams, grandfather Sammy Sadler, Uncle Sammy Sadler Jr, and his beloved great-grandmother Betty Greeson Turbo-Ray.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">A senior at Lewis County High School, Class of 2026, Everett was a dedicated student, known for his intelligence and determination to excel. His academic achievements were only a part of who he was; Everett also possessed a passion for life and a curiosity that knew no bounds. He worked diligently at his family&#8217;s bank, where he took on any and all duties with a smile and a willingness to learn. His work ethic and commitment to his family&#8217;s legacy were evident to all who worked alongside him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Everett&#8217;s interests were as diverse as they were intense. He had a special love for music, often found strumming his guitar, creating melodies that reflected his innermost thoughts and feelings. Aviation captivated his imagination, and he was eagerly preparing for his first solo flight, a testament to his adventurous spirit and love for the sky. Everett&#8217;s need for speed found an outlet in race cars, where he was a familiar face at the Lawrenceburg drag strip. He was a regular at local jump n&#8217; runs, where his competitive nature and zest for life were on full display.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Though his time with us was far too short, Everett&#8217;s legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched with his warmth, exuberance, and kindness. His infectious laugh, his bright-eyed optimism, and his unwavering loyalty will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation will be held at Blondy Church on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Brothers Jeff Gandy, Ben Floyd, and Robby Moore will be officiating.
