She was born on October 9, 1942, to the late Homer James and Claudia Mae Patterson Williams.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Annette was a longtime employee of a local shoe factory, where coworkers felt like family. A devoted member of Oak Grove Church, she especially enjoyed helping with the annual fish fry and admired her church friend, Catherine, for her kindness and support.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She loved spending time with family during holidays and birthdays, and had a warm, friendly spirit that lit up every room. Annette enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, The Price is Right, gardening, fishing, playing bingo, shopping at the farmers&#8217; market, and sitting on the porch in her favorite season &#8211; summer. She was a fan of religious music, especially the hymn &#8220;I&#8217;ll Fly Away.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Annette was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Donald Williams. She is survived by her sister, Edna Mar Garner; nieces and nephew Dana Carroll, Deanne Barnes, Darrin Garner, Christy Clayton, and Meredith Williams; 7 great-nieces, 4 great-nephews, and 11 great-great-nieces and nephews, along with many other relatives and friends.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She will be remembered for her loving heart, joyful spirit, and deep devotion to family and faith.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Graveside services were held on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Davis-Oak Grove Cemetery with Bill Webb officiating.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">McDonald Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Williams family.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Carolyn &#8220;Annette&#8221; Williams, 82, of Hohenwald, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025, at Lewis Park Post Acute.
