She entered eternal rest on July 24, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 81.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe Allen Winters; her son Steven Ray Sisk, her sisters, Marie Bates, Clara Nell Brown, and Henrietta Rochelle; and her brother, Roger O&#8217;Guin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She is survived by her sons, John Sisk, Eric Sisk, and Ashley Winters; her sisters, Rebecca Carroll, Louise O&#8217;Guin, and Marcella Breece; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Evelyn deeply loved her family and cherished all those around her. She was a talented cook, best known for her homemade vegetable soup and freshly brewed coffee. A lover of all music, she especially enjoyed Country and Elvis Presley. Evelyn found joy in simple pleasures\u2014yard sales, thrift stores, and collecting dolls brought her great happiness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Throughout her life, Evelyn devoted herself to the service of others, earning the admiration and respect of many as a beloved waitress. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering friendship left a lasting impression on all who knew her.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">If Evelyn was your friend, you had a true and loyal companion. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation with the family will be 28 Jul 2025 from 2:00 &#8211; 9:00 PM and 29 Jul 2025 from 11:00 AM &#8211; 2:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home &#8211; Hickman County.\u00a0 Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 PM with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Centerville, TN.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">McDonald Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Winters family.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mary Evelyn O&#8217;Guin Winters was born on September 22, 1943, in Aetna, Tennessee, to the late John Everett and Clara Lorene Rogers O&#8217;Guin.
