Janey Marie Gilbert, age 83, of Lyles, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home on June 10, 2025. Born on August 6, 1941, in Nunnelly, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Everett Gossett and Susie Marie England Gossett Brown.<\/span><\/p>\n

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Janey was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Shirley Leon Gilbert, who passed away on January 3, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

She is survived by her loving children, Susan (Eddie) Sullivan of Fairview and Jimmy Tidwell of Nunnelly. Janey also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Brandy (Gary) Howell, April (Anthony) Cesario, and Matt Tidwell; and her adored great-grandchildren, Lane Howell, Aiden and Addison Cesario, and Jameson, Jaclyn, and Alaynah Tidwell. Mrs. Gilbert is also survived by her brothers, Garry Gossett of Tennessee City and Dorris Brown of Lyles.<\/span><\/p>\n

Janey dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker and will be remembered for her unwavering love, warm spirit, and the deep joy she found in caring for those around her.<\/span><\/p>\n

Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Visitation with the family will be 12 June 2025 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM and 13 June 2025 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. – Hickman County.\u00a0 Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Centerville, TN.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
