Stephens, 84, of Linden, passed away Tuesday May 20, 2025 at Maury Regional Medical Center, with his loving wife, Linda by his side. He was born in Hohenwald to the late John Hershell Stephens and Elsie May McDonald Stephens. On September 4, 1987 Willie married Linda Slone in Pikeville, Kentucky.<\/p>\n<div class=\"image-container w75 storyimage_centeralign\">\n<div class=\"imageDiv\">Willie was retired from CSX Railroad, a job he truly loved. He enjoyed going to work everyday and had a sense of purpose and an appreciation for aspects of his job. He collaborated with his team and was grateful for the flexibility and work life balance. He had a real enthusiasm about doing something he genuinely enjoyed.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Willie had a hobby\/passion for fishing. His love for this sport was evident because of the days and years he enjoyed it. Willie enjoyed fishing in many bass tournaments in different counties and making may friends along the way. He would get up early in the morning, because that was the best time the fish were biting. He told many stories of the one that got away, the one that was caught, the ones that were big and the ones that were not.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a beautiful daughter Tina R. Harris, a brother John Harville Stephens and sisters Oneda Stephens and Barbara Stephens.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include his devoted wife of 37 years, Linda Stephens, his children Timothy (Dawn) Stephens, Steven (Shelley) Griffith, Ginger (Gary) Williamson, grandchildren Tiffany (Kristen) Keene, Brezl (Jason) Hurley, Hannah G. Collins, Dustin Wheeler, Michael (Kirsten) Bevins, Alex Griffith, Jay Morales Rivera, Danielle Harris, Tyler Griffith and Dalton Williamson, great-grandchildren Joshua T. Ward, Zeyden Ward, Aliyah Hurley, Owen Hurley, Matilda Bevins, Emmett Bevins and Steven Wayne Griffith, III.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mr. Willie E.
