Born on January 20, 1946, in Hohenwald, James lived a life marked by hard work and devotion to his family and friends.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"image-container w75 storyimage_centeralign\">\n<div class=\"imageDiv\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He proudly served the community through a long and distinguished career at Genesco Manufacturing, where he worked for 41 years as a skilled repairman. Known to his co-workers as the &#8220;Back Shoe Boy,&#8221; James became a vital part of the manufacturing process, ensuring that shoes met the highest standards before they reached consumers.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">James was a graduate of Waynesboro High School, where he laid the foundation for a life characterized by hard work and dedication. Working on cars and listening to classic country music were two of his favorite activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He is survived by his loving sisters, Lynda Keller and her companion Gary White of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee and Joyce Thrasher and her companion Jeff West of Collinwood, four nieces, one nephew and several great-nieces and great-nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents, Olen Price and Irene Hinson Brison, along with his sister Leann Staggs and niece Renea Hill.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">James Allen Brison will be remembered for his unwavering spirit, dedication to his craft, and the love he shared with those fortunate enough to know him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Funeral services were held Sunday, May 11, 2025 at Shacklefords Funeral Directors in Waynesboro.
