{"id":13735,"date":"2025-04-18T07:04:09","date_gmt":"2025-04-18T11:04:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/lewis\/?p=13735"},"modified":"2025-04-18T07:04:09","modified_gmt":"2025-04-18T11:04:09","slug":"hendrix-mark-anthony","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/lewis\/hendrix-mark-anthony\/","title":{"rendered":"Hendrix, Mark Anthony"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Mark Anthony Hendrix, age 72, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Tuesday, April 01, 2025, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"image-container w75 storyimage_centeralign\">\n<div class=\"imageDiv\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, retired from Quality Industries, Lavergne, TN, and of the Church of Christ faith.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Mark was a gifted guitarist from an early age forming the popular Lawrenceburg band, the Bonhomme Richards, in 1966 at age 12. The band played many school events and youth center dances and later performed at the Elks Club. He was a skilled guitar maker who designed and created numerous elegant guitars throughout his lifetime. He was a skilled artisan in the tool and die craft who was in demand to teach others how to use complex CNC machines. Mark was an excellent chef who enjoyed creating elaborate holiday meals for his family.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther Hutson Hendrix, Sr. and Pearl Odelle Hudson Hendrix.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He is survived by his wife, Kathy Barber Hendrix of Lawrenceburg, TN; one son, Bill Stutts (Ginger) of Lawrenceburg, TN; two daughters, Tracy Hinson of Hohenwald, TN, and Catherine Blake Hendrix of Huntsville, AL; three grandchildren, Victoria O&#8217;Hara (Matt), Samantha Barber, and Dan Brown; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Merinda Gieske of Lawrenceburg, TN; one brother, Luke Hendrix, Jr. (Nancy) of Murfreesboro, TN; several nieces and nephews.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, Lawrenceburg, TN with a Celebration of Life planned for May 4, 2025, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at 201 Lafayette Avenue in Lawrenceburg.
