She was born on May 6, 1941, in Donelson, Tennessee, to the late Richard &#8220;Monk&#8221; Gentry and Lovie Jewell Allen Waggoner.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Anita was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Robert Roberts, and her daughter, Julie Ann Roberts. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She is survived by her sons, Mark (Rhonda) Roberts and Chris Roberts, along with five cherished grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Anita loved her family fiercely and found immense joy in the simple, meaningful moments shared with them. She and Robert created a lifetime of memories together \u2014 from riding their motorcycle around the island of Iwo Jima, Japan, to soaking up the sun along the shores of Melbourne, Florida. The beach was Anita\u2019s happy place. She found peace walking barefoot in the sand, listening to the waves, and watching the ocean meet the horizon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Her gentle spirit, unwavering love, and deep devotion to her family leave behind a legacy of warmth and strength that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation with the family will be 16 April 2025 from 10:00 AM &#8211; 12:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home &#8211; Hickman County with a Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 PM.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">McDonald Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Roberts family.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Anita Carol Roberts, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, entered eternal rest on April 9, 2025, in Nunnelly, Tennessee, at the age of 83.
