{"id":13649,"date":"2025-03-31T11:12:41","date_gmt":"2025-03-31T15:12:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/lewis\/?p=13649"},"modified":"2025-03-31T11:12:41","modified_gmt":"2025-03-31T15:12:41","slug":"martin-floyd-alton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/lewis\/martin-floyd-alton\/","title":{"rendered":"Martin, Floyd Alton"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"obit-and-service__obituary\">\n<div class=\"obit-and-service__obituary__text\">\n<div class=\"obituary edit-container\">\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Floyd &#8220;Fuzzy&#8221; Alton Martin, born on December 4, 1938, in Primm Springs, Tennessee, to the late John Homer and Mattie Gordon Martin, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025, in Dickson, Tennessee, at the age of 86.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Fuzzy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Floye Adell Green Martin, as well as his brothers Boyd, Hubert, Wayne, Randy, and Sewell. He is survived by his son, Teddy (Kathy) Martin; granddaughter, Tiffany Martin; great-grandson, Hudson Liam Martin; sisters, Jewell Green and Elizabeth Martin; brothers, Wallace Martin and Jerry Martin; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Known for his strong work ethic, Fuzzy was a man of many talents. He took great joy in raising a large garden, sharing its bounty with others, and was skilled with his hands, able to fix almost anything that came his way. His love for the outdoors, the beauty of God&#8217;s creation, and his passion for hunting and fishing were among the many things that brought him joy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Fuzzy&#8217;s presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of hard work, kindness, and love for family, friends and nature will live on in the hearts of those he touched.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Fuzzy will forever remain in our thoughts and prayers.
