Carl was born in Dickson, Tennessee to the late Jimmy and Dorris Pendergrass Tidwell on April 1, 1951.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Carl was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished traditions. Carl was a dedicated Tennessee Titans fan. Win in or lose, he cheered them on with loyalty often alongside his brother Elvis. Football was more than a pastime; it was a passion he shared with those closest to him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">When he wasn&#8217;t watching the Titans, Carl found joy in life\u2019s simple pleasures. He loved rolling grape vines, a tradition that brought him happiness and plenty of stories to tell. Time spent with his siblings was always treasured-whether reminiscing about old times or making new memories, his love for family was the heart of who he was.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In addition to his parents, Carl is preceded in death by his son Sammy Tidwell, siblings, Charles Tidwell, Ethel Lampley, Shirley Lampley, Alvie Prince, Leon \u201cHickey\u201d Tidwell, Edna Fay Himes, Elvis Tidwell, Loyal Tidwell, Gracie Cannon and brother-in-law, James Slaughter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Mrs. Loretha Tidwell of Centerville, Tennessee, sons, Anthony Tidwell of Burns, Tennessee, Jamie (Mary) Tidwell of Pleasantville, Tennessee, Danny Tidwell of Dickson, Tennessee, grandson Harvill Tidwell of Lyles, Tennessee, and his dear sister Mrs. Betty (Emerson) Potts of Primm Springs, Tennessee.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Above all, Carl was a proud and devoted father.
