He was born on April 8, 1969, in Cleveland, Ohio, to his parents, Larry Sims, Sr, and Louise Harville Sims.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Larry was a hardworking, self-employed mechanic for most of his life. He had a natural talent for fixing anything with an engine and was a true jack of all trades. His love for cars extended beyond work. He especially enjoyed watching demolition derbies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Above all else, Larry\u2019s greatest joy in life was his family. His late wife, Angela Sims, and their son, Ryder, meant everything to him. He was a devoted husband and father, cherishing every moment with them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Originally from Ohio, Larry moved to Tennessee in 1968, living most of his life in Dickson, TN, and 4 to 5 years in Hohenwald, closer to Angela&#8217;s family.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He is survived by his parents, Larry and Louise Sims, son Ryder Sims, stepdaughters Kayla Hayes and Adrianna Hinson, sister Tina (Kevin) Daugherty, and sister Angela (Adam) Hall, as well as four grandchildren.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 beginning at 1:00 PM in the Downey Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">McDonald Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Sims family.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Larry Flesh Sims, Jr., 55, passed away on February 27, 2025.
