Potts, 84, of Decaturville, passed away Saturday, February 15th, at his home.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"image-container w50 storyimage_leftalign\">\n<div class=\"imageDiv\">\n<p class=\"caption\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He was born June 6, 1940 in Hohenwald, to the late Paul Norman and Willie Mae Potts. Joe was a retired towboat captain and was a member of Trinity Assembly of God.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Joe is survived by a daughter, Vonda Potts, of Decaturville; three sisters, Sue Newman, of Decaturville; Pamela Hart, of Reagan; Martha Potts, of Decaturville; three brothers, Robert (Delores) Potts, of Decaturville; Carlon (Marie) Potts, of Scotts Hill; Larry Potts, of Decaturville;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Potts, 2 brothers, James Potts and Glen S. Potts, a sister, Karen Kay Kobeck and his parents.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">His funeral service was held at Reed&#8217;s Chapel, Decaturville, TN, at 1 PM on Tuesday, February 18th. Keith Kirk officiated at the service. Burial followed in Trinity Cemetery.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Joe P.
