She was born on January 12, 1936, in Cullman County, Alabama to the late Leacelle Felix and Alma Jane Foust Griffin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Ms. Curry was a talented seamstress, a caregiver who loved to babysit, and a wonderful cook whose meals were the heart of many family gatherings. For twenty years, she dedicated time to the Lewis County Food Bank, embodying the spirit of community service. A woman of faith, she found joy in listening to gospel music and gracefully played the piano at the Baptist church.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She exhumed love and kindness to all; she was a wonderful mother to her four children. Her commitment to her beliefs shone through her longtime Lomax Church of Christ membership.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In addition to her parents, Leacelle Felix and Alma Jane, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Willie &#8220;J.W&#8221; Curry; and her sister, Christine Kreps.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved children, Michael Curry, James David (Tomika) Curry, Pamela Annette (James) Beasley, and Sharon (Mike) Lyle; her brothers, Glen Griffin, Cecil Griffin, Dwight Griffin, and Mary Jo Butts; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Graveside services for Ms. Curry will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in Lomax Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN. Greg Mullinicks will officiate. She will be laid to rest there beside her husband, J.W.
