She is survived by her daughter Faye (Will) McEwen, son Jeff (Martie Davis) Church, granddaughters Kate Rodgers and Becky Holt, great granddaughter Ellie Holt and great grandson James Woody, sisters Mary Sue Sands, Mattie Pearl Boehms and Jewell (Wayne) Prince along with a host of other relatives and friends.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Ms. Ruby along with her sister Alma was instrumental in establishing the Shady Grove Community Center and Club. They worked tirelessly raising funds and getting the school building in an order of which the community would become proud. She worked for many years as a manager of Readmore Book and Card, a Hallmark store in the Shady Brook Mall in Columbia, TN.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Ms. Ruby enjoyed cooking Southern family meals, baking desserts and reading cookbooks. She enjoyed working word search puzzles and watching television. Her favorite shows were Perry Mason and Gunsmoke.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Ms. Ruby loved God and her family fiercely and will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"obituary edit-container\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation with the family will be 7 Jan 2025 from 4:00 &#8211; 7:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. &#8211; Hickman County.\u00a0 Funeral Services will be held 8 Jan 2025 at 1:00 PM McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. &#8211; Hickman County with burial to follow at Stand Cemetery, Duck River, TN.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ruby Puckett Church was born in Duck River, TN on June 08, 1932, to the late Frank Brown and Lillie Viola Byrd Puckett and entered eternal rest on January 6, 2025, at the age of 92 years.
