Nell was born in Pleasantville, Tennessee to the late Tom and Rosa Horner Ayers on February 22, 1935.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Nell faced life with courage and an innocence that reminded us all of what truly matters: love, kindness, and the simple joys of each day. She was a special soul who touched the lives of everyone with her pure heart and joyful spirit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Nell had a passion for pocketbooks. It was evident in her cherished collection, which she loved to admire and organize. Nell also loved books. She enjoyed flipping through the pages, captivated by their pictures and the stories they held. Her love for them brought her comfort and reflected her thoughtful and curious heart.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Nell is survived by her loving and devoted sister, Vera Mae Ayers Locke, Nephews, Ken Jernigan, Steven Steele, Randy, and Chuck Woodall. Nieces, Donna Meyers, and Lisa Coole.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Nell may have been an adult but still a child in mind, heart, and soul.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation with the family will be 17 Dec 2024 from 11:00 AM &#8211; 12: 15 PM at McDonald Funeral Home &#8211; Hickman County with Graveside Services to begin at 1:00 PM at Williams Cemetery, Pleasantville, TN.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">McDonald Funeral Home in Centerville, Tennessee is honored to be serving the Ayers Family during this difficult time.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nell Virginia Ayers, of Pleasantville, Tennessee, entered into eternal rest on December 14, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of joy, wonder, and love.
