Originally from Perry County, TN, she attended a one-room schoolhouse on Coon Creek before moving with her family to Detroit at age 12, where she spent much of her life before returning to Hohenwald, TN. Imogean began her career washing dishes at the Swan View Restaurant, later becoming a cook. A proud achievement in her life was earning her GED at 50.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Imogean loved bringing family together, especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas, where her chocolate and pecan pies, baked ham, and cakes were cherished. She was a talented seamstress, learning to quilt on her own and enjoying painting, gardening, board games, and reading. She also had a lifelong love for dancing, especially &#8220;The Twist,&#8221; and enjoyed trips to Gatlinburg and watching birds. Of the Mormon faith at her passing, she also attended the Blondy Church of God.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She is survived by her son Mike Chaput of Brown City, MI, daughter Donna Foerster of Hohenwald, son Tommy Warren (Melinda) of Hohenwald, daughter Kim King of Hohenwald and adopted daughter Nora Tervo (Mark) of Columbia, 9 grandchildren Stephanie (Brett) Dodson, Wynter (James) Warren, Justin (Kristi) Warren, Jarrett King, Jerry (Chanley) Baugh, Tabitha (Patrick) Baugh, Valerie (Rico) Grazes, Melissa Chaput &amp; Jacob Chaput along with 22 great-grandchildren.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Garland (T.W.) Warren, brothers Buddie, Leonard, Lonnie, Lee &amp; Earl Mercer, sister Pearl Hinson &amp; Nancy Barber, grandson Michael James Chaput, granddaughter Crystal Denise Baugh and special friend Art Dudley.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home in Hohenwald. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 beginning at 12:00 PM with burial to follow in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Serving as pallbearers: Justin Warren, Jarrett King, Jerry Baugh, Alex Whitehead, Dustin Carroll, and Lathon Vaughn.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">McDonald Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Warren family.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Imogean Warren, born July 19, 1939, to the late James Shelt Mercer and Nora Bryson Mercer, passed away on October 29, 2024, at 85 years old.
