Dorothy Rose \u201cDot\u201d Jenkins was born in Duck River, Tennessee on September 20, 1934, to the late Odie Walker and Sindy Parthenia Anderson Sharpe and entered eternal rest in Nashville, Tennessee on April 30, 2024, at the age of 89 years.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to her parents, Dot is preceded in death by her daughter Sherri Jenkins Gunter, her son Jeffrey D. Jenkins, sisters Elsie Thompson, Eva Rial, Ruby Sharpe, Pearl Gordon, Noveline Jenkins, Christine Gordon, and seven brothers Utley Sharpe, Richard Sharpe, Delbert Sharpe, Willis Sharpe, Glen Sharpe, Leroy Sharpe and Waymon Sharpe.<\/span><\/p>\n

Left to cherish her memory are her granddaughters Lexi Jenkins, Josie Jenkins, Jessica Jenkins, and her daughter-in-law Rita Jenkins.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dot was a long-time member of Fairfield Baptist Church where she loved to worship with her church family. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Some of her specialties were fried chicken, chess pie and chicken and dumplings. She enjoyed gardening and growing beautiful flowers. She never met a stranger and always made everyone feel like family in her presence.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dot was a beautician for 48 years. She was known for her skillful hands, warm heart, and dedication to enhancing the beauty and confidence of others and leaves an indelible mark on the community. She will be remembered for her talents, kindness, and the countless smiles she brought to all those around her and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.<\/span><\/p>\n

Visitation with the family will be 3 May 2024 at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. – Hickman County.\u00a0 Funeral Services will be 4 May 2024 at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. – Hickman County with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Centerville, TN.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
