Parrish, 61, of Scotts Hill, peacefully passed away at his home Sunday morning, February 18, 2024. Born to Paul and Freda Parrish on July 1, 1962, Jeff was known as intelligent and hard-working in his youth. Scholastically, he was Valedictorian of his class at Scotts Hill High School and eventually earned a Doctor of Law degree from University of Memphis School of Law.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">After graduating, Jeff began an accomplished career as an attorney serving in private practice, corporate health care, and most recently as State Counsel and Field Director for U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">A long-time parishioner of St. Regina Catholic Church in Parsons, Jeff lived a life in service to his Catholic faith focusing on peace, humility, and finding God&#8217;s presence in all things.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Apart from his professional career and spirituality, Jeff celebrated a breadth of personal interests including travel, music, food, and boating. He cherished time on his screened porch and dutifully cared for his home and family. He is lovingly remembered as being witty, helpful, generous, and impactful.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Jeff is survived by his son, Jonathan (Rebekah); his daughter, Eliza; brother, Kenny (Lisa); sister, Gina (Neil); his Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Tenby; four nephews and a niece: Dillon, Peyton, Sam, Jake, and Sadie. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Paul and Freda, as well as four beloved canines: Morgan, Mitch, Millie, and Sophie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The Parrish family hosted a funeral at St. Regina Catholic Church in Parsons, on Friday, February 23, 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Mr. Parrish was in Lewis County several times for political reasons. During his most recent visit in the fall of 2023, he spoke very knowledgeably about Rural Hospitals and gave Lewis County some great information during the Emergency Health Care group meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jeffery D.
