Mary Lorraine Worley Bates was born in Primm Springs, TN to the late John Olif and Mary Adell Yates Worley on September 28, 1932 and entered eternal rest in Centerville, TN on January 24, 2024 at the age of 91 years.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to her parents Ms. Lorraine was preceded in death by her brother Malcolm Yates “Mac” Worley. <\/span><\/p>\n

She is survived by her son, Rusty (Cathy) Bates, grandchildren, Melanie (Roger) Wilds, Dana (Kenny) Steinmetz, and Mike (Kasey) Bates, eight great-grandchildren, brothe,r Charles Edward Worley, special friend, Rozella Dansby, and a host of other family and friends.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ms. Lorraine worked in service to others in banking for 58 1\/2 years retiring as Chair of the Board of The First National Bank of Centerville, TN in October, 2008 having served in all departments of the bank. She loved her family and friends fiercely. She was a member of the Fairfield Church of Christ for over 70 years. She enjoyed working in her yard, tending her beautiful flowers and traveling.<\/span><\/p>\n

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Ms. Lorraine’s memory to the Fairfield Church of Christ Youth Group.<\/span><\/p>\n

Graveside Services will be 27 Jan 2024 at 2:00 PM at Charles l Nickell Memorial Park, Centerville, TN. <\/span><\/p>\n
