Charles was united in marriage on July 1, 2000, to Annie Staggs. He was a man of the Church of Christ Faith. Charles enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, gardening, and cooking. Charles honorably served his country in the United States Army. After his military service Charles worked as a truck driver.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"p402_premium c-box\">\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Charles departed this life on November 4, 2023, at the age of 70 years, 8 months, 12 days.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Charles is survived by son, Logan Leonard Staggs, Heath Johnson, Rance Johnson; daughters, Tina Bell, Jerri Martin, Sandra Pound; brother, Dewayne Staggs; sisters, Martha Perrin, Edith Marlow; host a grandchildren and great grandchildren.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Roy Neill Staggs, Fuller Anthony Staggs; sisters, Wanda Thompson, Kathy Dial, and Joyce Lineberry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, and Wednesday, November 8, 2023, until service time at County Line Church of Christ in Lawrenceburg.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at County Line Church of Christ in Lawrenceburg, with Cary Crews officiating.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Interment followed at Spann Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Charles Edgar Staggs was born on February 2, 1953, in Hohenwald, the son of the late Fuller Staggs and Edna Keaton Staggs.
