Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 28, in the Hickerson Cemetery on Hurricane Creek.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He was born in Linden to the late James Marvin Hickerson, Sr. and May Earline Reeves Hickerson. He was a United States Army Veteran. James was a retired Security Officer for the State of Tennessee. In addition to his parents he is also preceded by his wife Dean Haynes Hickerson and a sister Mary Tinin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Survivors include his daughter Chasity Hickerson Flippo of Hohenwald, grandchildren Anthony Garcia, Kayden O&#8217;Neal and Jesse Huddleston, sisters Martha (Oscar) Reeves and Grace Talley both of Hohenwald, a brother Paul (Pat) Hickerson of Hohenwald and a host of other loving family members and many friends.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Young Funeral Home in Linden assisted the family with arrangements.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>James Marvin Hickerson, Jr., 85, of Linden, passed away Tuesday July 25, 2023.
