{"id":11125,"date":"2023-02-20T18:33:31","date_gmt":"2023-02-20T23:33:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/lewis\/?p=11125"},"modified":"2023-02-25T10:03:13","modified_gmt":"2023-02-25T15:03:13","slug":"johnston-ronald-curry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/lewis\/johnston-ronald-curry\/","title":{"rendered":"Johnston, Ronald Curry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Mr. Ronald Curry Johnston answered his final call on February 16, 2023, surrounded by his family at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.\u00a0 He was born on May 12th, 1935, to the late Adlie and Thelma (Jones) Johnston in Hohenwald, TN.\u00a0 Mr. Johnston was married to the love of his life Mrs. Janice (Warren) Johnston on June 25th, 1960, and together they raised a son Ryan Johnston of Hohenwald, TN.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Mr. Johnston was a retired School Teacher, and in his free time, he enjoyed spelunking, shooting guns, serving his community, and spending time with his family.\u00a0 Mr. Johnston proudly served on the Hohenwald \/ Lewis County Fire Department since 1985.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Ronald leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife, Mrs. Janice Johnston, son, Ryan Johnston of Hohenwald, granddaughter, Amber Nelson (Lance) of Hohenwald, as well as a host of friends and fellow fire firefighters.\u00a0 Along with his parents Mr. Johnston is preceded in death by his brother, Murray Johnston.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Services for Mr. Johnston will be held at Lomax Church of Christ in Hohenwald, TN on Monday February 20th, 2023.\u00a0 The family will receive guests from 11 a.m. to service time at 2 p.m. with Hohenwald Fire Chief Steve Vineyard and Brother John Hackett officiating.
