He worked as a dentist in Boskoop, Netherlands and moved to Hohenwald for his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working on his farm, taking care of his animals, gardening, cross-stitching, and crossword puzzles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He is survived by his children, Ernst-Jan de Koning, Vincent (Supriya) de Koning, Rutger (Mariska) de Koning, Michiel de Koning, Roeland (Margaret) de Koning; brother, Kees (Maggy) de Koning; nine grandchildren, and one grandchild on the way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Han de Koning and sister, Nanneke Toxopeus-de Koning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee, with Bert Spann officiating.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Heritage Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Ernst Antoon de Koning, age 82, husband of Magda de Koning-Koopman, and a resident of Hohenwald, passed away Friday, November 4, 2022, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
