{"id":10633,"date":"2022-09-28T06:01:24","date_gmt":"2022-09-28T10:01:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/lewis\/?p=10633"},"modified":"2022-09-28T06:01:24","modified_gmt":"2022-09-28T10:01:24","slug":"armstrong-gloria-faye","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/lewis\/armstrong-gloria-faye\/","title":{"rendered":"Armstrong, Gloria Faye"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Gloria Faye Armstrong was born on December 24, 1948 and passed away on September 19, 2022 at the age of 73.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Gloria is the daughter of the late Oscar and Mattie Ruth Chessor Armstrong. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She is also preceded in death by her two brothers, Elmo Armstrong and Joe Armstrong; two sisters, Jessie Armstrong and Johnnie Ruth Denton; and her nephew Jeffery Denton.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Gloria is survived by her nieces, Janice Brown, Jennifer Buchanan, and Lynn Robertson, as well as eight great-nieces and nephews and twelve great-great nieces and nephews.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Gloria spent her life with devotion to her family, service to the church, and attentive care to hearts and minds in need of healing. She will be remembered as a loyal friend and a warm, assuring presence in the life of everyone she met. She loved three generations of nieces and nephews as if they were her own children and grandchildren as well as the five dogs that she adopted over the years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">At her request, she was cremated and her ashes will be buried at the family cemetery at a later date.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gloria Faye Armstrong was born on December 24, 1948 and passed away on September 19, 2022 at the age of 73.
