He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorell Pierce Crowell. Survivors include his wife, Judy Murphy Crowell of Hohenwald; father, Leslie L. was found on March 28, 2004 following an accident in the Buffalo River in Perry Co., on March 19, 2004. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 31, 2004 in the Blondy Church of God at 2 p.m.. Dr. Charles Helms, Rev. Marcus Webb and Rev. Bill Webb will officiate. Burial is to follow in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens. Survivors include two sons, Paul Gandy (Pat) of Hohenwald and Charles Gandy (Kathy) of Mt. Pleasant. Also three daughters, Sandy Curtis (Jack) of Summertown, Connie Gandy of Nashville and Jennifer Zimmerman of Mt. Juliet; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mr. Gandy was a charter member of the Trinity Assembly of God Church, where he had served as a deacon. He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union, Local 572 for 63 years. He served as Business Manager and retired January 1, 1981. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Robert and Lizza Lucinda Caroline Aday Gandy, and his wife, Hester Mae Butler Gandy. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers, and the Perry County Rescue Squad will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Perry County Rescue Squad. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, and after 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Church.<\/p>\n
