{"id":10176,"date":"2022-05-22T07:26:11","date_gmt":"2022-05-22T11:26:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/lewis\/?p=10176"},"modified":"2022-05-25T19:44:00","modified_gmt":"2022-05-25T23:44:00","slug":"mullins-james-t","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/lewis\/mullins-james-t\/","title":{"rendered":"Mullins, James Thomas"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"obituary-text\">\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/James-Mullins-32\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Mr. James \u201cJim\u201d Thomas Mullins, a resident of Hohenwald, TN, passed from this life on Friday, May 20th, 2022, at the age of 78.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"> Jim was born on March 19, 1944, and was raised by his father, Bryan Junior Mullins, and his step-mother, Betty Mullins, in Weeksbury, KY. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/James-Mullins-32\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Jim was a true patriot. He served in the United States Army from 1963-1966 during the Vietnam War. He served his country proudly, and later in his life he served as the president of the Lewis County Veterans Association. After his time in service to his country, he married the love of his life on July 7, 1967, Linda (Hinson) Mullins. Jim was truck driver for many years as well. He will be remembered as someone who loved everyone and everyone loved him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/James-Mullins-32\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Along with his wife, Linda Mullins of Hohenwald, he is survived by his son, Jeff (Sheila) Mullins of Hohenwald, grandchildren, Justin Tyler Mullins of Hohenwald, Crystal (Ian) Jones of Indiana, Shawn Pollock of Columbia, great grandchildren, Lucy Jones and Za\u2019myla Camilla Miracle Pollock, brother, Bill Mullins of Linden, and step-siblings, Pat Johnson, Kim Tackett, Rodney Mullins, David Mullins, Dirk Mullins, and Wendell Mullins all of Weeksbury, KY.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/James-Mullins-32\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-mother, Betty Mullins, and one sister, Mary Yonce. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/James-Mullins-32\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022, from 4:30 PM &#8211; 9:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home &#8211; Lewis County.\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 27, 2022, at 1:00 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home &#8211; Lewis County with Bill Webb officiating.
