J.W. was born on January 11, 1932, to James Perry Curry and Lula Mae (Rodgers) Curry, in Hohenwald, TN. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/J-W-Curry-2\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked at Dupont as a Mechanical Technician until his retirement. He was also a dedicated member of the Lomax Church of Christ and hardly ever missed a service.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/J-W-Curry-2\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He is survived by his wife, Jean Curry of Hohenwald, TN, sons, Michael Andrew Curry of Smyrna, TN, and James David (Tamika) Curry of Enswell, NY, daughters, Pamela Annette (James) Beasley of Arkansas, and Sharon Angela (Mike) Lyle of Hendersonville, TN, sister, Joy (Roger) Hibbs of Signal Mountain, TN, sister-in-law, Shirley Curry of Waynesboro, TN, 6 grandchildren, and 3 Great Grandchildren.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/J-W-Curry-2\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Jess Osteen Curry, Charles Bernard Curry, Jerry Paul Curry, Dickey Dwight Curry, and sister-in-laws, Kay Curry and Connie Curry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/J-W-Curry-2\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation with the family will be conducted on Sunday, May 22, 2022, from 11:00 AM &#8211; 1:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home- Lewis County. Jeff Spears, Greg Mullinicks, and Virginia Beasley will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lomax Cemetery.
