He passed away on May 18, 2022 in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 89. James was a veteran of the United States Air Force, spending more than 30 years in the service and attaining the rank of Master Sergeant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his eleven siblings. He is survived by his wife, Charlene Chandler; daughters, Shannon Quillen (Denny), Vanessa Grigg, and Jennifer Stewart (David); six granddaughters, six grandsons, two great-granddaughters, and one great-grandson.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">A visitation with the Chandler family will be announced shortly.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>James A Chandler was born on April 13, 1933 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to the late Lula Maria Rickman and Joe Jasper Chandler.
