He loved his family deeply. He was very fond of traveling and loved the wonders and magic of each Christmas season.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/Thomas-Avis\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Thomas is survived by his wife, Kay Avis, daughters, Candice (Jimmy) Ambrose, Jennifer (Nathan) Grell, and Marnie Redmond, grandson Houston Hudspeth and granddaughters, Alexis Redmond and Alyssa Ambrose, brother-in-law Jr. (Dana) McCaleb.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/Thomas-Avis\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Bill Avis, sister, Norma Sellers and a son-in-law, Ed Redmond.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"services-events\">\n<p class=\"services-content\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Graveside Services will be held 5 May 2022 at 2:00 PM at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Centerville, TN.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thomas Wayne Avis was born on April 15, 1949, to the late William and Dessie Hensley Avis in Caruthersville, MO, and entered into rest on April 29, 2022, in Nunnelly, TN, surrounded by his loving family.
