In 1957, Virgie married William Wesley Williams, who preceded her in death in 2018. She is survived by her children, Damon (Teresa) Williams of Pleasantville and Marilyn Manning of Tokyo, Japan. Virgie was a devoted grandmother to Nicole Vanderpool and Colton Williams, and a loving great-grandmother to Taylor. She is also survived by her sister, Jean Brunell, of Detroit, Michigan, and her brother, Keith Easterling of Texas.

Virgie had a lifelong passion for sewing, owning over a dozen sewing machines and often making her own clothes. She was an active member of the Quilters Guild in Columbia and found joy in volunteering at the local nursing home, where she shared her love of crafting with the residents. She was also a devoted member of the Mt. Zion Full Gospel Tabernacle.

A beloved figure in her community, Virgie will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and neighbors.
