Williams, Mildred Leora
Mildred Leora Qualls Williams was born on July 4, 1928, in Perry County, Tennessee, and passed away on April 6, 2022, in Centerville, Tennessee. She was 93 years old.
She is the daughter of the late William Thomas Qualls and Ollie Mai (Ayers) Qualls.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Leonard P. Williams, daughter Sue Kelley, siblings Leona Casner, Cornelius Qualls, Raymond Qualls, Edward Qualls, and David Qualls, and grandson Glenn Kelley.
She is survived by her daughter Wanda Qualls (Franklin) of Pleasantville. Grandchildren Shirley (Ryan) Brown-Harrison, Dianna (Greg) Rochelle, Brien Keith Qualls, and April Kelley. 7 Great Grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Son in Law Virgil Kelley. Along with many other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
She was a retired Nurse’s Aide and worked for 22 years at the Hickman County Nursing Home. She was one of the original nurses when it opened.
She was a longtime member of the Upper Sinking Church of Christ which she attended for over 50 years.
She was all about taking care of other people. This was evident in her work, and also in the way she treated her family. She loved cooking big meals. Family favorites were her blackberry cobblers (which she strained the seeds out of), fried apple pies, coconut cakes, and banana pudding. She will be deeply missed by all of them.
Visitation with the family will be 8 April 2022 from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County. A Graveside Service will be held 9 April 2022 at 11:00 AM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County with burial to follow at Qualls Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
